Frequently asked questions.

What should I expect from my first visit?

Being a patient with me means that we are a team. On day one we’re going to sit down and talk about what has been going on and get a detailed history about your pain which will then guide our evaluation. This is important so that way we can determine what factors are driving your pain so we can get to the root cause and make sure your pain does not come back.

I say we are a team because through the first visit I’m telling you everything I’m seeing and explaining where my brain is going as we develop a treatment plan. My goal for every evaluation is to make sure you understand what is going on and WHY it is going on as well as what the plan is to get you out of pain.

How often do I need to come in for treatment?

In a traditional model for physical therapy you would usually be seen 2-3x per week for 6 weeks as a blanket prescription. But the answer to this question totally depends on the person and the level of care that is needed. I usually see people once per week for the first few weeks at the start of care in order to get things under control and a plan in order. From there as long as you are able to be consistent with your exercises at home we can adjust the frequency of care to what you need to make sure you continue to feel supported. As I said above we are a team and our success relies on both of us putting in the work.

Do you accept insurance???

At ISO Health I am an out of network practice. I do not submit to insurance on my end but what I can do for every patient is provide “superbill” receipts for each visit upon request if you have out of network benefits with your insurance.

If you are a Medicare beneficiary, we are not able to provide covered physical therapy services—but we can absolutely work together via Wellness Services, which can still support your goals in a proactive, movement-focused way.

Do you Accept HSA/FSA?

YES! — This is a tool that many of my patients use to invest in their health and all of my services are HSA/FSA eligible. I do also offer treatment visit packages that can be purchased after your initial evaluation which bring down the overall cost of care.

As an aside if you do not have an HSA and have access to one via an employer. I could not recommend utilizing this tool more. The world of healthcare is shifting more and more away from in network insurance every day and this is a great way to make sure you have resources to invest into your health for the future.

What is the benefit of using an out of network physical therapist?

Being out of network allows me to treat the whole person based on what they need not based on what their insurance says they need.

This model allows me to spend more time with you so I can provide truly personalized, one-on-one care, with no rushed treatments, and can focus on long term results that last. This also allows me to stay connected with you outside of the clinic. All of my patients can check in with me as needed to ask questions or give me updates as needed. Think of it like having your PT in your back pocket. With these tools we’re able to see faster recovery in less visits compared to the traditional model of physical therapy.
